If folk is said to be '3 chords and the truth', then Old Towns is that with a nosebleed and a three-dollar pint."

Old Towns: Prairie-Folk
What began in 2012 as the creative outlet for songwriter Robbie Shirriff's hangovers soon became the main drive and ambition of the prairie-raised traveler. Old Towns has been, and will continue to be, a collection of Canadian folk tunes, best shared with real people in organic settings.
Three independent physical releases have brought Old Towns across Canada, and into countries such as Guatemala, Cambodia, Thailand, and Australia. The opportunity to travel, share songs, and meet people is what keeps this musical project moving forward.
Old Towns has performed as many different ensembles. Most often traveling and performing as an acoustic act, Old Towns has always maintained a versatility in performing styles, allowing the incorporation of many talented friends and artists along the way.
